This is an actor-driven, scripted web series. It provides a voyeuristic view of the ins and outs of being in love. The production is in association with Creative Control:http://www.creativecontrol

In addition, we are seeking a Production Sound Mixer who can double as a boom operator — ideally you have your own audio solution (boom pole + mic, 2-channel mixer, hard disk / DAT recording package or the like). This is for the dramatic series pilot of Bedfellows. Shooting will be primarily on weekends in May and June.

SYNOPSIS
There comes a time in every person’s life when one must confront hard truths and exhilarating possibilities in the bedroom.

When a handful of couples expose the most intimate depths of their lives, they must level with each other, clash, cling and lie on the peculiar beds they’ve made. Who will fall in love, and who will fall off the edge?

“In Treatment” meets “Paris Je t’aime” (with a dash of “Husbands and Wives”) in this romantically edgy web series for the post-adolescent crowd.

Character Bios for Actors:

MICHAEL
Lead, Male, 28 – 35 years
When Michael Winkler’s apartment becomes infested with bedbugs his world turns upside down. He always knew he’d have a fun stint in Manhattan for a few years, meet the woman of his dreams, marry her, and move to Westchester to have kids and run his own andrology lab. Now he feels he is at the mercy of Sofia, his fiance-to-be, and Kara, Sofia’s jealous roommate. Michael is a bit of a masochist with a sense of self-importance that he tries to quash with pleasantries, charm and flirtation. Right now he feels vulnerable and way more rattled than he would like to let on.

SOFIA
Lead, Female, 25 – 32 years
Sofia Lee is a very ambitious woman on the verge of being a resident ObGyn. She is in her 4th year of medical school. She drives at pleasing everyone to the point of being too fair and overextends herself to where she’s almost not present. It seems like complaisance, but beneath it she is a struggling control freak trying to redeem herself, and at times she can be very harsh and lash out. Deep down, she really loves Michael, and makes an effort not to judge him by the same standards she holds for herself. The bedbugs, though, are too much. Her ideal was to live with Michael. Now, she’s not so sure. She and Michael have been dating for 10 months.

KARA
Lead, Female, 23 – 29
Kara Smith has been Sofia’s roommate for 1 year. She is gorgeous and loves to go out dancing. She’s a savvy conversationalist. Her confident outer shell belies a distrust for people, especially men. She enjoys having Sofia as a pillar in her life and they occasionally go out. She maintains an aura of mystery and under the surface she is very angry at the world, a closet sadist. Her financial independence as a freelance PR expert has cost her relationships and she is secretly jealous of Michael. She envies Sofia for having a man dedicated to her.

Early Twenties. First year in college and working part time at Law office. Determined to be a writer, despite the disapproval of her family. She has a boyfriend that means well, but she’s not sure he’s right for her.

He’s in school. Early Twenties. He’s not sure what he wants, but he like films and traveling. He lost his father when he was 13. He doesn’t talk about the lost much. He’s angry about having to be a man far sooner than he would have like and thinks the world owes him something. He has a tough exterior but is a nice guy on the inside.
